The 3:00 AM Study Method: Why it Works for Some and Fails for Others
The "Night Owl" culture is huge in Nigerian universities. There is a certain peace that comes with studying when the hostel is finally quiet. However, the 3:00 AM method only works if you are getting "Recovery Sleep" during the day.
If you pull an all-nighter and then attend a 4-hour lecture, your brain will stop retaining information. The key is consistency. If you choose to study at night, make it a habit so your circadian rhythm can adjust. If you only do it once in a while, you are simply torturing your brain.
